Many of our perspective students have reported that when they go to US Embassies or Consular General’s Offices and present I-20 issued by VIU to the consular officers they are told that VIU is not on their list of Accredited Universities in the Northern Virginia region. The purpose of this letter was to request the Assistant Secretary of Consular Affairs at the US Department of State in Washington, DC to disseminate this information to all the US Missions/Embassies worldwide. This letter is self explanatory. Our recommendation to all of our perspective students is to down load this letter and copy of the ACICS letter of Accreditation Approval and take these two pieces of information with you to the American Embassy as a part and parcel of all of your documentation. Good Luck to you all. Click here to download the letter.
