BUSINESS CONFERENCE IN VIU


On Thursday, February 26, Virginia International University sponsored a luncheon and seminar titled "How to Start a Business in the U.S. and Achieve Maximum Benefits From It." The presentation was delivered by Mr. Sudhakar V. Shenoy, founder, chairman and CEO of Information Management Consultants, Inc., a software development company.

At this event, VIU announced scholarships to those who want to study journalism and communications. In addition, grants and opportunities are being made available to students who want to continue their higher education and who have obtained outstanding academic success.

Dr. Isa Sarac, President of VIU, introduced Mr. Shenoy, who spoke before a large crowd, composed mainly of students and teachers from VIU, as well as representatives from several media outlets and other visitors.

Mr. Shenoy has received recognition from the U.S. government, as well as from the state of Virginia for his business and civic work.

Located in the city of Fairfax, Virginia, VIU is a private, non-profit center of higher education that offers courses and specialized studies in business, computer science, and English as a Second Language (ESL), through certificate, undergraduate, and graduate programs.

VIU was established in 1998 with the goal of offering high quality education at an affordable price for local and international students. The school currently has approximately two hundred students from thirty-three countries.
