Tuition and Fees

Fall 2010 - Spring 2011

This tuition and fee structure is effective with the Fall 2010 - Spring 2011 academic year.

    • Evening TOEFL Preparation Classes

Tuition: $450 per session.(book is not included)

    • One-on-One ESL Classes

Tuition: $40 per hour.

Tuition: depends on the type seminar and group size. Please contact us to get a quote.

Continuing Education Programs do not provide enough credits to maintain F-1 visa status. F-1 students can take them as an addition to regular classes.

Tuition and Fees are subject to change without notice. Funds for personal expenses (e.g., food, health, insurance, books, supplies, etc.) are not included.

Program Prerequisites

Graduate Students who need to take program pre-requisite courses will pay the Undergraduate tuition rate for those courses required.

*The only fee an agent is authorized to collect on behalf of VIU is the $100 application fee. Tuition and other fees are to be paid directly to VIU.
Related Fees: Some fees are mandatory and due at the time of application or enrollment. There are also services at VIU when it is necessary as student progress through their program of study or required upon their request. All fees are non-refundable.

ID Card Renewal If ID card is lost or a replacement is needed. ID cards must be renewed every year $10
Transcript Processing Fee Upon request by the student. It will take three business days to process transcript requests $10
Graduation Application /Diploma Processing Fee All students graduating must pay this fee when submitting the Graduation Application Form $100 for Degree Students
$50 for Diploma and Certificate Students
Cap & Gown All degree program students who is participating Commencement Ceremony must pay this fee $50 for Graduate Level Students
$30 for Undergraduate Level Students
Cancellation Fee When students cancel the enrollment within 3 business days prior to beginning of semester $100

Living and other expenses: Students should calculate and bring extra funds for these expenses based upon individual projected need.

Book expenses Book expenses are not included in the tuition. All must obtain their books before the end of the add-drop period ESL students may spend $200 per semester
