 Greeting from Alka Kawal, President SGA 2008 Hi VIUers! This is Alka Katwal from Nepal, a peaceful country that stands tall. I arrived here on the VIU campus almost two years ago with the same dreams and expectations as you. I am currently in the second year of my Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree program and have grown to love Virginia International University and my wonderful classmates. Being your new Student Government Association (SGA) president is a great honor. Thank you kindly for choosing me and my fellow SGA officers. Together, we will work with you to address the issues you face as a university student living and studying in a new and different environment. I can proudly say that your voice will not go unheard. It is not be just your SGA officers who will be in touch with our university administration; when we speak, we will be speaking for all of us. The trust you have given us will be our most important asset and our greatest motivation. We promise to devote our time and energy to address your concerns and to gather your opinions.
