 Vinod Patel Hello to VIU, First of all, a heart-felt thank-you to all of you for electing me as a Vice President of SGA 2008-2009. Let me express the big welcome to the new session to all of you in VIU. Let me tell you a little about me. Currently I am pursuing MBA degree and have experiences in leadership and have flair for the politics. In India I have been the Student President (Gujarat University, India) of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) and have extended my service to the students there. Now here in VIU I am proud to be the Vice President of the SGA and must continue my service and work for the student just as I did in India. Working in a professional environment in VIU will help me in increasing confidence and also will increase my eagerness in doing my duty towards the SGA. I am looking forward to developing the strategic plans and future goals for SGA. The social activities and skills here will help me in understanding and developing the management criteria for the resources. I am happy to help the students for their betterment and welfare and consider various aspects of student life away from home. I would support the organization at all the levels and provide services to our students as my duty. On the whole I believe that the position will allow me to grow as a person as well. It will also allow me to bring some views from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds of current and potential students. Message to the Students: - We unite in SGA that gives us an opportunity to develop the great work we have already been doing, and try to go on to expand further.
