Dr. Alireza Khorsand is currently Executive Director of Glories Happy HATS, a strategic, scalable social enterprise aimed at increasing social, human and economic capital in inner-city, disadvantaged, and adjudicated youth. He teaches graduate level International Management.

He also taught economics at the Merrick School of Business (University of Baltimore) and Northern Virginia Community College (Virginia). Prior to his current position he worked at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars as researcher and as an expert economist at the Federal Research Division, Library of Congress where he published seven original papers on Iran.

Prior to immigrating to the U.S. in 1992 and becoming a US citizen, Dr. Khorsand lived in France for 15 years where he obtained a Ph.D. in Economics and an MA on Economic Development from the University of Paris - Sorbonne and a BA in Sociology from University of Grenoble, France. He worked in numerous French companies and is also a French citizen.

He lives with his wife and daughter in Fairfax, Virginia.
