Gail Whitaker returns from last semester as an adjunct professor at VIU.  She has over fifteen years of experience in technology management.  She recently served as the Chief Technology Officer for one of the largest civil rights organizations in the United States.  She has served in a technology leadership role for a number of nonprofit organizations where she was responsible for implementing many major technology initiatives.
 
Ms. Whitaker has her own technology management consulting firm, Whitaker Consulting Services and has expertise in organizational strategic planning, program management, technology planning and implementation, database management, and project management.
Ms. Whitaker received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American University, a Master of Science in Labor Studies from the University of the District of Columbia, and a Master of Science in Information Systems from the University of Maryland University College (UMUC) and currently enrolled in a doctorate of management program at UMUC.
