Roger L. Powell,

Chair, Business Programs Department

Mr. Powell currently holds the position of Chair, Business Programs, which is responsible for all graduate and undergraduate Business Programs as well as undergraduate General Education Courses. For the spring 2008 semester the Business Programs Department has 107 MBA students, 65 BBA students, and 12 Business Diploma students, taught by 21 instructors.

Mr. Powell has extensive private sector management experience in forensic accounting, finance and strategic planning at senior levels, both domestically and internationally, and is CEO of R & F Investment Properties, LLC in Oakton, VA. R & F owns and operates private equity interests in the US and Europe.

As a graduate of the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, Mr. Powell holds a Master of Science Degree in Management and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Hampton Institute, Hampton, VA. Mr. Powell also served as an Officer in the US Navy.
