Saeed N. Tabriz, Ph.D

Dr. Tabriz holds a Ph.D. degree in applied economics from the Ohio State University. His M.A. as well as B.A. degrees are in economics from the University of Kansas and the National University of Iran, respectively.

Sam recently relocated from central Ohio to D.C. Metro area, and currently, he is the proprietor of 4-Season Consulting Services in Bethesda, Maryland. In addition to teaching at VIU, Dr. Tabriz also teaches economics at the University of Phoenix, Northern Virginia Campus. Sam specializes in economic modeling and strategic planning and provides consulting services to business firms as well as public institutions as an independent contractor.

Sam has nearly twenty years of entrepreneurship and business management background. He also has fifteen years of teaching experience at both undergraduate as well as MBA levels. Since 1992, Dr. Tabriz has taught a wide range of undergraduate as well as MBA-level courses in economics, finance, international business, quantitative methods, and management at the Ohio State University, Columbus State, Capital University, Keller Graduate School of Management, Otterbein College, Virginia International University, and the University of Phoenix.

Sam has always enjoyed teaching a diverse group of students including the international students as well as the professional adults who wish to reach their higher educational goals in conjunction with managing their challenging carriers and dynamic life styles. Dr. Tabriz is very approachable; strongly believes in classroom teaching, and values professional interaction with his students and his colleagues very much.
