Yukari Kunisue, MA, Ed.M.

Yukari Kunisue is a VIU’s student and career counselor. Yukari was born and raised in Japan and has lived in the U.S. over 25 years.

Yukari holds a MA from University of Hawaii, and Ed M. from Columbia University Teacher’s College. She received her BA from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo. She is currently a Ph. D. candidate at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, Palo Alto, California.

Before coming to VIU, Yukari has worked in academia, journalism, government and private sectors. She was a public affairs manager at the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, and later worked as an economic analyst at the US Embassy in Tokyo.
