Alex Luketa was born in Tanzania where he earned a Bachelor in Accountancy at Tumaini University, Stefano Moshi Memorial College. He moved to the US in 2011 to study at Virginia International University. He completed his MBA in International Finance in December 2015. In 2012, Alex began working for VIU as a representative of Tanzania. In 2013, he began working for the marketing team in the area of student recruitment. Today he lends his skills to VIU’s Admissions Office where he continues to help students who wish to study in the US.
In his free time, Alex enjoys reading books, traveling, and gaming.

Daniel Martinelli was born in Wiesbaden, Germany and grew up in Vienna, Virginia where he learned English and became conversational in Spanish. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Marymount University in 2011. He was awarded membership to Phi Alpha Theta (International History Honor Society) and Kappa Delta Pi (International Education Honor Society) in recognition of his conspicuous attainments and scholarship in the fields of history and education. He is currently pursuing a Master of Education at Marymount University in addition to graduate studies in urban education at Johns Hopkins University. He holds passion and commitment in education to ensure all students earn a quality education that can be used to empower the global community. In April 2016, Daniel traveled to Lima, Peru and Santiago, Chile to speak with prospective students about the importance of college. He also collaborated with political decision-makers and local university officials throughout Latin America to build education opportunities for international students. Daniel is a member of US Masters Swimming and can be found swimming competitively in addition to teaching others how to swim.

Jorge was born in Torrance, California but grew up in Guatemala in Central America until he moved back to the United States in 2013. He graduated from Mesoamericana University in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and advertising. Prior to joining the staff at VIU, Jorge worked for a company in Guatemala as a compensation and benefits coordinator. During his time in Guatemala, Jorge coordinated inside learning programs such as the corporate campus of Galileo University; he also organized corporate and social events like the annual Day of Giving, an event during which employees of the company participated as volunteers and worked to build schools for small villages with very low resources. In this role he also oversaw the marketing and graphic design department. He also worked for a company in Guatemala managing the marketing operations department. Jorge enjoys learning about technology, web development, 3D animation, and graphic design.

Chintan Purohit is Admissions Advisor at the Virginal International University. Chintan is graduate of Virginia International University, where he received an MBA in International Business Management. Prior to receiving his MBA degree, Chintan also worked as Teaching Assistant at School of Business and School of Public and International Affairs at Virginia International University.
After graduation, Chintan launched his career in Fairfax, where he began his specialization in evaluate and process application materials to verify authenticity and accuracy. Chintan witnessed and experienced foreign student immigration issues and challenges, and it is in his capacity to advice international students with admission process, as well as collaborate with DSO to provide advice on academic options and change of status process. Success comes in many forms, Chintan finds himself in every student he evaluates the application for, this opportunity made it possible for Chintan to concentrate on his work as an Admission Advisor for International F1 students.

Serdar Graduated from North American University and received his bachelor’s degree from business administration with a focus in finance and accounting. He started working for Virginia International University in August of 2016 where he lends his skills as an admissions officer.
Serdar Yildizci was born in Turkey. He has a very colorful and diverse background and has lived in many different countries throughout his life. He speaks both English and Turkish fluently.
