VIU affords individuals with unlimited potential the unique opportunity to acquire an excellent, multi-disciplinary education at a lower cost. By offering our students access to scholarships, we are able to attract rare individuals who will take their unparalleled VIU experiences into their own cultures, share their knowledge with future generations and launch successful careers as world leaders. There are several different types of scholarships available: awards based on exemplary academic achievement, extracurricular participation and residency. Full-time undergraduate and graduate VIU students are eligible to apply for a scholarship if the scholarship requirements are met.

The Scholarship Department has scholarship programs for prospective and current students. Every scholarship has unique criteria; review the application carefully to see if you meet the requirements.

Prospective Student

Any Applicant who has received an acceptance letter from the VIU admission office before the scholarship application deadline for the desired semester of enrollment.

Current Student

Any Student who has been enrolled in VIU as a full-time student for at least one full semester.
