VIU would like to congratulate our faculty, Dr. Dereje Tessema for being selected as the 2011 Academy of Management Organizational Development Division best paper finalist, for his recent research, titled “Emotional Intelligence and Organizational Development”, which he presented at the AOM annual conference in San Antonio, Texas in August of 2011.

Dr. Tessema holds a PhD in Applied Management and Decision Sciences from Walden University, a MS in Information and Telecommunication Systems for Business from John Hopkins University, and a MS in Engineering from Suderburg University, Germany. He also holds a BS in Economics from Alemaya University, Ethiopia. He has worked as an Adjunct Faculty since 2007 for various universities. He has been teaching several management courses at VIU since January of 2011.
