Support VIU

Why Support?
Each year, alumni, board members, corporations and friends choose to support Virginia International University through generous gifts. Private support goes a long way at VIU. We are a young, vibrant, and growing university and we consider our donors to be investors who are making so much possible. Our donors aid and encourage our wonderful students, advance innovative teaching and learning, and touch lives all around the world.
Whether you are one of our valued donors or are considering making a gift to Virginia International University for the first time, we invite you to make a difference both at VIU and in the world. Your gift will go to work immediately to strengthen our academic programs, attract top faculty, build and maintain campus facilities, and keep Virginia International University affordable higher education experience for all students.
Every gift is important to us and is a vote of confidence in Virginia International University and its future. Regardless of size, your gift shows your commitment to making higher education accessible to students from all over the world. The greatest benefit of making a gift is the sense of pride and satisfaction in knowing that you have supported Virginia International University. Plus, as a donor, your leadership sets a high standard of support for other alumni, parents, corporations, and friends to follow.

Why should I give to VIU each year?
Annual gifts to Virginia International University are used each year to make VIU the best it can be. We start our donations holdings at $0 every fiscal year and we depend upon raising the same amount (or more!) each year in order to continue providing a quality education to VIU students. If we don’t raise the funds for immediate use, our programs can suffer. For example, a $50 gift enables us to purchase new books and media for our library and $1,500 buys a new computer for one of our computer labs. If these funds aren’t raised every year, the university and the students may not be able to get all the resources they need.
