Xiaoyi Dai, PhD

Dr. Dai is an adjunct faculty member in the Master of Business Administration program at Virginia International University. She earned her PhD in Project Management from the Management Science Department at George Washington University. Before that, she earned an MBA at George Washington and a bachelor’s degree in literature from the East China Normal University in Shanghai, China. Dr. Dai’s teaching experience includes a broad range of business courses in project management, marketing, international business, business policy, human resource management, business statistics, and multivariate data analysis. Dr. Dai’s dissertation research was supported by a grant from the Project Management Institute and focused on the influence of the project management office on project success rates. Her work has been published in the Project Management Journal and the International Journal of Project Management. She has also been an invited speaker at several PMI annual conferences. Dr. Dai’s work earned her the E. William Hahn Memorial Award for Outstanding Graduate Research. She is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Honor Society.
