The Africa Pride club's launched October 29th 2010 was conceived with a purpose to raise awareness of African Nationals and cultures; promote discussion of economic, political and social issues in Africa; encourage the VIU to seek more students from Africa; provide a platform to for students interested in careers in Africa to meet with employers; and encourage development of case studies, avail new students from Africa with a welcoming environment to reduce the length of time for culture shock and continue with their educational pursuit

Sports Club:The VIU Sports Club has been founded once again to recognize its mission to serve students, the University and the broader community. Its major effort is to provide an opportunity for student athletes to achieve their maximum potential both athletically and educationally. We believe that many of the most important learning experiences in a college education take place outside the traditional classroom.

We students have decided to create a platform for exchange and sharing to communicate, collaborate and increase the impact of our activities to humanitarian and social actions. Named as “Virginia International University Hearts ” this is a non-profit association whose goal is to bring relief and assistance to sick children in hospitals and to the poorest, who are in need of some happy time.

Mission Statement

The activities of the VIU Hearts club are : holding awareness seminars, meetings, workshops, to promote awareness regarding the benefits of Volunteering and Charitable actions.

Goal

Promotion of humanitarian group activities organized by the VIU students independently or through the many existing voluntary organizations.

The Muslim Student Association “MSA” is a non-profit and non-political religious student organization at Virginia International University, it is a gateway to the Islamic World and allows opportunities for Muslims and non-Muslims to learn more about the wonderful and fascinating world of Islam, which was the message of all the prophets, and sealed by Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu Alayhiwasallam - peace be upon him) in the Arabian peninsula 1400 years ago through the Divine Guidance of Mighty Allah.

To promote and support students’ study and life at Virginia International University through social interaction and learning process of East Asian culture and heritage.

Mission Statement:To strengthen East Asian students’ participation and role within campus life, thus expanding their cultural awareness. The club helps students become more aware of East Asian heritage through active discussions, group’s website, and meetings with influential East Asian representatives.
