VIU welcomes both group and individual applicants. In order to enroll for summer school at VIU, you should proceed with the following steps:
1. To guarantee your place at our summer school you must pay a deposit of $1,000 per student. If you pay your deposit by bank transfer, you should fax us the original copy of the bank transfer.
2. On a separate sheet of paper (s) written in CAPITAL LETTERS, list the full name of each participating student along with their date of birth, country of citizenship, full home address, and passport number. Please fax us the copies of their ID page in their passport.
3. Upon receiving the student list, the bank transfer, and the application form, we will immediately send you an acceptance letter and a fax of the original copy of the acceptance letter.
Planned Trips
Planned trips which are an integral part of the summer school program, are provided free of charge, and synchronized with the existing teaching curriculum to provide an excellent atmosphere for the students to practice what they have learned in the classroom. These trips include but are not limited to;

Optional Trips
Optional trips are not included in the overall cost of the summer program. Therefore, the group is responsible for all charges incurred during these trips. VIU will facilitate such trips to any pre-determined destination for a certain fee per individual. These trips include the following places of interest;
•New York and New Jersey •Williamsburg and Busch Gardens •Niagara Falls •Norfolk and Virginia Beach •Ocean City, Maryland •Annapolis-Baltimore •Harpers Ferry •King's Dominion •Adams Morgan
Lead-Teacher Training Programs
Lead-teachers who supervise student groups can participate in the following Teacher Training Programs for an additional fee (while their students are attending English classes during the weekdays): 1. TESOL (Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages) Program: This is a 12-hour training program for group leaders or lead-instructors who need to improve or excel their teaching skills.
2. Effective Communication: A very condensed communication seminar emphasizing interpersonal communications, concentrated on effective public speaking. This is also a 12-hour seminar. It can further be customized according to individual needs.
