I am currently enrolled in MS in Computer Science (MCS) program at Virginia International University. Throughout my study, I have consistently been dedicated to bettering myself and my software development skills through education and experience that I have gained throughout my career.
This year I was awarded a Grow with Google Challenge Scholarship for the Android Developer track. This scholarship program is a partnership between Udacity and Google to provide resources for people to meet current development demands. As a scholarship recipient, I have been automatically enrolled into the initial 3-month challenge course on phase one and the top 10% students who complete Phase 1 earn an additional 6-month scholarship to one of four Nanodegree Programs: Front-End Web Developer, Mobile Web Specialist, Android Basics Nanodegree and Android Developer. The full-scholarships will include project reviews, mentor-ship and community support.
I am ecstatic and honored to be among Google Developer Challenge Scholarship recipients. This scholarship award is going to serve a means of encouragement for me to continue my efforts to excel in both academics and software application development skills. It is truly a morale booster to feel recognized and has encouraged me to continue working hard.
I am thankful to Google and Udacity for giving me such a great opportunity. I also would like to thank VIU’s team for continuous support and encouragement. Their confidence in my abilities really means a lot to me.
