Fairfax, Virginia, USA – April 18, 2016 – Fairfax University of America will be holding its 11th commencement ceremony on May 7, 2016 at 2 pm at George Mason University’s Center for the Arts Building.
The ceremony will be honoring graduates across all academic programs, as well as students who have completed the English as a Second Language programs. Graduates will have the opportunity to be recognized for their achievements in front of our honored guests, professors, FXUA staff, media, classmates, and family members, many of whom have travelled from their faraway home countries to attend this exciting event.
The commencement address will be delivered by Mr. John Hughes, 108th president of the National Press Club and editor for Bloomberg First Word D.C. The student addressers will be Tamila Khalikova, MBA; Dorothy Gudgel, M.A. in TESOL; and Krishnaveni Mummineni, M.S. in Computer Science. In addition to the keynote and student speakers, the ceremony will feature a performance by FXUA’s Indian Spirit Club.
