Press Release (September 30, 2004)

Dr. Isa Sarac is the President of the steadily growing Fairfax University of America in Fairfax, Virginia. He recently gave a donation in the amount of $280,000 to the university. With this generous donation, the school plans to improve the level of education, improve the facilities and technology available to the students, and fund scholarships.

The university opened its doors to students in 1998, but Dr. Sarac’s commitment to education started well before that. Dr. Sarac has been dedicated to education for over 25 years. Before becoming the head of FXUA, he held a number of prestigious positions in education around the world. He taught and lectured in Turkey, England and the United States before he became Principle of London Meridian College, Education Consultant for the University of Warwick in Coventry, England, and President of Truestar Inc., an educational research and consulting company in Fairfax, Virginia.

FXUA’s goal is to provide affordable, quality education for students preparing to meet the ever-changing needs and opportunities of the 21st century. There is a strong emphasis on career orientation reflected in the programs at FXUA. The university offers a structured, student-centered approach to education in their undergraduate, graduate, certificate and diploma, and English as a second language courses. There are career counselors to assist students in finding internships and work-study positions. FXUA strongly believes that education is not confined to the traditional classroom setting, so they offer a unique Collegiate Colloquia series open to students, faculty and all members of the local community for friendly and informative debates of hot topics of international concern.

With Dr. Sarac’s donation and leadership, FXUA will attain its goals. FXUA will, above all else, graduate persons of moral, intellectual and professional excellence, who will make a better life for them and their families and who will lead the way to a better world for everyone. Thank you, Dr. Sarac.
