SLUG: VIU Begins Fall Semester with New Programs
RELEASE: For Immediate Release
Fairfax, Virginia: Virginia International University (VIU) will begin it’s 11th academic year and new fall semester on August 31, 2009. The start of the new semester marks the opening of a new graduate program and two new graduate certificates for the university. VIU now offers a Master of Computer Science (MCS) degree, an Executive Management Certificate and a TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) Certificate.
VIU’s MCS graduate program offers students the opportunities to take computer science courses in computer architecture, networking, operating systems, and much more. Graduates who earn a MCS degree will qualify for jobs as computer scientists, computer engineers, system programmers, and developers.
VIU’s graduate certificate program in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) prepares students to work as English teachers in a world where the global need for English language skills is growing.
The Executive Management graduate certificate is designed for mid-level professionals who would like to enhance their knowledge and management skills in a rapidly changing global business environment.
