Honor Societies

Gamma Beta Phi Society

Gamma Beta Phi ShieldGamma Beta Phi Society is a national honor society, with an inclusive eligibility process, which means it is a general honor society and not an academic society that is specific to just one academic discipline. Gamma Beta Phi Society is open to both undergraduate and graduate students as long as they meet the required GPA (3.0 or higher) and course credits (12 semester hours).

Invitation announcements to those students who qualify will be sent out by the Student Affairs Department by mid-August followed by an official letter starting in late August from Gamma Beta Phi Society. The induction ceremony will take place Tuesday, November 13, 2018. More details will be coming soon.

Overview

The Gamma Beta Phi Society serves as one of the nation’s premier academic honor societies. With over 80 Chapters across America and over 100,000 members since its inception in 1964, the Society continues to identify the brightest college students across the nation. Gamma Beta Phi is unique in nature – the Society focuses on community engagement and philanthropy. As a result, members across the nation use their scholarship, intellect, and creativity to uplift their local communities via service projects each semester. Members become highly-skilled change agents by participating in both individual service projects and chapter-specific community service programs.  Join the movement, as we continue to promote scholarship, service, and character development across America!
