Claire Gimble, MA in TESOL

Claire Gimble was born, raised, and educated in Canada. She holds a B.A. in Social Communications from the University of Ottawa and TESL certification from Carleton University. For many years, Claire has taught ESL in Canada and the U.S. to very diverse audiences ranging from kindergarteners and college students to ‘big wigs’ such as government executives and judges. She loves teaching ESL because she learns so much about different cultures and meets wonderful students from all over the world!

Claire is also an experienced ‘teacher of teachers’. She conducted ESL teacher training at Carleton University and is the co-author of an ESL teacher’s reference manual titled ‘Practical Problems in English Grammar’.

In August, 2007, Claire moved to Ashburn, Virginia where she lives with her husband, two children, and a spoiled dog. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the D.C. area. She loves animals, books, movies, and Starbucks.
