Elzbieta Nowak, M.Arch
Ms. Nowak holds a Master Degree in Architectural Engineering from Krakow Polytechnic, Krakow, Poland. She is an active member of American Institute of Architects (AIA) and has extensive continuing education in architectural, graphic design, construction, and management. Recognized by NOVA AIA with a Service to the Chapter Award, Ms. Nowak serves as a judge for the Annual Excellence in Construction Awards for ABC (Association of Builders and Contractors) and is very active in the Northern Virginia architectural professional organizations.
Ms. Nowak has been recognized with several awards for the Best Academic Department, Best Retention, and Academic Affairs Achievement during her extensive and diverse career in higher education that spans over 16 years in teaching, supervising, and managerial leadership with ITT Technical Institute, working with undergraduate students in six different schools of study. Prior to her time in higher education, she spent 15 years on programs, projects and people management in historical landmarks and municipal facilities. Ms. Nowak’s work in the United States has focused on architectural renovations of civic and municipal facilities for City of Omaha, computer graphics, and map making. Her work in Poland focused on architectural preservation and restoration of historic landmarks.
