Koorosh Azhandeh, MS

Koorosh Azhandeh serves as the Associate Dean for the School of Computer Information Systems. Prior to joining VIU, he worked as a media director for the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Koorosh has been an active member of IALLT and FLEAT since 2003. He is a PhD Candidate (ABD) in Computer Science at the Catholic University of America. He received a MS in Computer Science from the Catholic University of America, a BS in Communication Science with a Minor in Technology of Communication from Universita della Svizzera Italiana, Switzerland, and a BA in English Literature and Translation from Azad University, Iran. He also received a certification in Methods in Distance Education from the Catholic University of America. Over the years, Koorosh has taught courses in computer science at both the Catholic University of America and Virginia International University. His professional and research interests include web design, project management, information centric networking, computer networking, computer security, and cloud computing. He enjoys cycling, hiking, camping, and learning different languages.
