Nathan Minami, PhD
Dr. Nathan Minami has been an Adjunct Professor at VIU since June 2011, and has fourteen years of experience in management. He also taught in the Engineering Management program at West Point. Dr. Minami is an active duty Army Officer and has served on several operational deployments to Macedonia, Kosovo, and twice to Iraq where he managed and led numerous large scale projects and operations. Dr. Minami has published more than a dozen papers on operations and project management related subjects and was awarded the Omar N. Bradley Research Fellowship in Mathematics in 2007 & 2008. Dr. Minami’s education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Arabic and French Language from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Arts Degree in National Security Studies from the American Military University, and a Master of Science Degree in Engineering and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Minami completed his Ph.D. in 2011 in Business Administration at North central University, with a concentration in Homeland Security Leadership and Policy.
