Victor Oliver Espinoza, PhD
Victor Oliver was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. Graduated from the Universidad Jose Maria Vargas with a degree in Business and an MBA in Universidad Central de Venezuela. Moved to the United States in 1999 and continued his studies in Salamanca University, where he got his Masters in Spanish Language and Culture. He then proceeded to get his Doctorate Degree in Applied Linguistics to the Teaching of Spanish as a Second Language (ABD Status) from Nebrija University in Madrid, Spain. He has taught at Blue Ridge Community College, Mary Baldwin College, Bridgewater College, Northern Virginia Community College, and James Madison University for more than 15 years. He taught Beginner’s Spanish, Intermediate Spanish, Advanced Spanish, Spanish for Professionals, Immigration through Literature and Latin American Culture. Victor is now dedicated to teaching Spanish Language and Culture to American Diplomats at the State Department. He has been happily married to Veronica for 27 years and has the privilege of having two wonderful kids, Andrea, law student, and David, a student in Biotechnology.
